The St. Mary's first and second grade students performed a musical, "A Stable Fit for A King," this year for their part in the Christmas Program. Second grade students played the parts of the innkeeper's son and his friend, the innkeeper and his wife, Mary and Joseph, the Three Kings and a Narrator. All of the students were part of the chorus and sang the songs that helped tell the Christmas Story in a fun and entertaining way. Good job, first and second graders!
This year's Christmas Program for the third, fourth and fifth grade students was a collection of of our very favorite songs. Some songs we had done before over the years, but some of the songs were completely new. The program was called, "In the Stillness". The kids were excited to sing in parts and did a great job with everything. They especially loved singing "Mary Did You Know?" Some of the fifth-grade students put in extra time (during recess) to learn hand bell parts for two of our pieces. Thanks to those students for their unselfish sacrifice of time and their enthusiasm for learning new things! For more photos click here.
