Students from Saint Mary's School in Bellevue responded to the challenge from Omaha's Durham Museum and made overlapping geometric shapes on the playground to represent 100 Billion Nanometers (100 meters) for National Nanotechnology Day, today. We made a circle with a circumference of 100 billion nanometers, a rectangle with a perimeter of 100 billion nanometers and a square with an area of 100 billion square nanometers! The shapes were so large we had to take 4 separate pictures to show it all. Thanks for the challenge, Durham Museum. It was fun.
