It is mighty hard to put into words the fun that the 5th graders and their Pre-K buddies had spending time together celebrating their own little “Thanksgiving feast”. Thanks to our Ag Pen Pal’s very generous donation of recently harvested wheat, the 5th grade students had the opportunity to learn how to separate the wheat from the chaff, grind the wheat berries into flour and mix and bake some delicious bread. Meanwhile, the Pre-K kids were shaking their little hearts out to make fresh butter to go with our warm bread. Of course, no Thanksgiving feast is complete without pumpkin bars and apple juice, a chance to color with your buddy, a little sing-along and a rousing game of Duck, Duck, Goose, in this case we changed it to Gobble, Gobble, TURKEY! We have so much for which to be thankful. For more photos click here.
