Advent Prayer Service

AdventPrayerService5On Monday, November 28th, the students and staff gathered for our opening Advent celebration. These services are a time for prayer and reflection focusing on the hope and peace of the Advent season. Each week classroom teachers work together to help the students prepare the service. This year we are focusing on the works of St. Teresa of Calcutta and the ways her life was a light to others. We are all working to be like her in our own lives.
As a school community we are participating in the Heifer Project and the Winter Giving Tree. Inspirational sayings have been appearing throughout the halls and are bringing big smiles to all who read them. These messages are being put up by anonymous Advent Angels and are greatly enjoyed by everyone. All of these activities offer us the opportunity to grow in our understanding of what it means to be the light of Christ to others. For more photos of the Prayer Service click here.

Our philosophy of education is to offer a five-day program to assist families in teaching those truths, skills, and ideals, which are necessary for Christian living.
