Helping Those in Need Around the World

HelpThoseIn Need1St. Mary’s eighth graders made posters to aid in the school's Advent service project of raising funds for Heifer International. The money raised is to help buy animals and fruit and nut trees for people in areas of great need and poverty around the world.
The eighth graders' large posters will be hung in the hallways throughout the school. Smaller posters, made by the sixth graders, will go between the larger ones. Seventh graders made animal and fruit tree Christmas ornaments that will be hung on one of our school Christmas trees.
As we collect money to purchase an item or items for those in need, we will add ornaments to the tree. This is definitely a group effort!
If you would like to make a donation to the Heifer Project, please send it in an envelope marked, "Heifer Project", to the school or to St. Mary's rectory. You may also drop marked envelopes in the Sunday collection baskets through the fourth Sunday of Advent. For more photos click here.

Our philosophy of education is to offer a five-day program to assist families in teaching those truths, skills, and ideals, which are necessary for Christian living.
