This Fall, teachers and staff from St. Mary’s enjoyed good fellowship, good food and some art instruction from one of our gifted Alums and daughter of Mrs. Embury, our third grade teacher. Kaitlyn Embury, a professional artist, provided instruction laced with inspirational stories and tidbits on how to hold the brush to get that harvest scene just right. Each person painted her own 16 X 20 stretched canvas using acrylic paints. The scene was a blue sky, birch trees and two pumpkins. In less than 2 hours, each of us had our masterpiece, each with its own flare...some with darker skies, more trees, bigger pumpkins. It's always good to enjoy some time with coworkers...the fun rolls over to our professional cohesiveness, just one more example of the St. Mary’s school community growing closer.
