St. Mary’s is so proud of George A. Thompson, 45, who took over the judgeship at the Sarpy County District Court June 14, 2016. Judge Thompson was in the first kindergarten class at St. Mary’s School and graduated from there in 1984. Now, Judge Thompson is taking over a position his father, George Thompson once held. His dad even swore him in and gave him his robes. The territory must seem very familiar for the new judge, especially since he has the same office and bailiff that his father had. One of the judges dear friends since kindergarten, Robb Huck another St. Mary’s alumni, was the master of ceremonies at his swearing in. Judge Thompson’s whole family was also at the swearing in. Congratulations Judge Thompson. (For more of the story click here.) (For more photos click here.)
