The Sixth grade class ended their successful baby drive with a tour of the Essential Pregnancy Center across the street from St. Mary's School. The students were able to see an ultra- sound machine, hold model babies, and compare the size and structure of a baby in the mother's womb. They learned that babies in the early stages of life can feel pain, move and hear sounds. The students moved to a small classroom and learned many things about caring for a newborn. Praying for new parents and new babies was encouraged. The staff did a great job exposing the students to what services are provided to encourage life. At the end, each student was given a colorful CHOOSE LIFE bracelet.
The Sixth grade would also like to thank all who donated items for the EPS. Many needed clothes, pacifiers and other requested items were collected. Thank you so much! Your donations will help many new families.
