Announcing St. Mary's School Alumni Scholarship 2016 Winners

For the third straight year, the St. Mary's Home & School Association offered scholarships to St. Mary's School alumni. The winners are: (1) Alumni Attending Catholic High School (freshman year) - $1,000 awarded to Tony Traggiai ('16) who will be attending Mount Michael Benedictine High School; (2) Alumni Attending Catholic College/University (freshman year) - $1,000 awarded to Mirjana (Missy) Walther ('12) who will be attending Creighton University; and (3) Alumni Working for Service/Non-Profit Organization/Catholic School (any age) - $1,000 awarded to Elizabeth Connealy ('05) who works for Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) at Wayne State College. Submission deadline was Wednesday, April 20, 2016. The High School scholarship winner was announced at the 8th Grade Banquet on May 20th. Letters for the other two scholarships were mailed out in mid-May. Look for information regarding the 2017 scholarship opportunities in January 2017.

St Mary's Information

St. Mary's Catholic School is a Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade School of the Archdiocese of Omaha. Our mission is to provide a Catholic education that nurtures students' hearts and minds to become servant leaders in an ever-changing world.

Our philosophy of education is to offer a five-day program to assist families in teaching those truths, skills, and ideals, which are necessary for Christian living. We believe that education must develop the faculties and abilities of the whole child: spiritually, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. To help achieve this, our faculty and staff are an integral part of the formation of Christian community and dedicate themselves to the task of developing Christian citizens.
