Spring Volleyball Clinic – Adds to Its Appeal

Volleyball art workThis year's volleyball clinic (2016) held by Coach Doug Feagan had 12 kids ranging from 3rd to 7th grade participate. It even drew two alumnae, Lia Rose Reckmeyer and Maureen Goetz, who assisted Coach Feagan and helped mentor the young girls. Lia Rose was really excited to help Mr. Feagan at his volleyball clinic. She and Maureen Goetz both made the freshman volleyball team at Mercy High School this past year. The girls covered the basics like passing and serving. They had lots of fun in their two-hour camp and look forward to the possibility of a few more clinics in July prior to the start of school.

In fact, a number of girls from St. Mary's class of 2015 played volleyball at their respective high schools this past year: Ellie Foral at Bellevue East, Maggie Heltzel at Gross High, and, Annika Sjostedt at Bellevue West. Mary Ellen Reckmeyer says, "Mr. Feagan can be very proud of how he prepared all of these girls for high school volleyball."
