The numbers are out and this year's 2016 Spring for the Children Benefit Auction was another record breaker bringing in $99,114 to support the children of St. Mary's School and also to maintain a safe learning environment. The Live Auction and Fill-A-Need were a lively portion of the evening bringing in record numbers as paddles were helping raise the roof. Yes, over $25,000 was raised from Fill-A-Need to help replace the original 60-year-old membrane under the Spanish tiles on the south side of our building. Over the last 5 years the Home and School Association's Benefit Auction has raised almost $441,000 to help meet the needs of the school. Monies raised have gone toward a new playground, one hundred chrome books, the gym sound system, and the gym sponsor sign. The rest of the money typically gets placed into the general Home and School fund and then is used for classroom supplies, parties, teacher's supplies, and field trips. Thank you to all of our supporters, sponsors, donors and volunteers for making all of this possible.
