The eighth grade students spent some of their music time decorating paper bags for the Pre-Kindergarten students to use at Mission: Imagination on Friday, January 15th. The bags will contain rice and will be sealed and used as shaker instruments on the play-a-long portion of the concert. The older kids were happy to do this service for the youngest of our students and were no doubt reminded of their own fun experiences with the Omaha Symphony in the past!
Mission: Imagination is an education program of the Omaha Symphony, which brings the orchestra into the community through performances at area schools and community centers. St. Mary's School has hosted the Symphony in our school gym for well over 20 years. Our students in grades Pre-K through 3rd attend the interactive concerts every year. This year we will go on a musical adventure with Melvin the Explorer to find the Golden Baton. We are all excited for the performance! For more photos click here.
