Experimenting Solidifies Knowledge

SciExp6WOcropWhat makes Science fun is getting into the lab. This opportunity cements in your brain what you have been studying in class. Recently Mrs. Thompson's classes were learning about the Pacific Ring of Fire. It's an area where a large number of volcano and earthquake eruptions occur in the Pacific Ocean basin so they got to map out the area. Students have also been using stream flows to understand how sediment, vegetation and flowing water interact to form stream channels. They can actually see how materials are eroded, transported and deposited. Scientific donations have made it possible for the students to have a great learning experience in the labs. Thank you for making Science fun and solidifying our knowledge. For more photos click here.
