The Gym Impacts the Students

1paintingst.marysMrs. Embury's third graders expressed their thoughts about the gym artist, new words and images in the gym. Caleb said: It was amazing! Grayson: So cool and a good job too! Olivia: Fabulous! Judith: It looked like a lot of effort went into it! Meredith: I thought it was wonderful. It blew my eyes out! Maggie: If a game was being played here you'd know what the team was called. Raiyah: I thought it was so good it looked like a machine did it! Cole: I thought it looked like hard work. Ayla: I really like the Spartan-so big and puffed out. Allison: Beautiful! Hudson: I thought it looked like a giant sticker! Maggie: I liked it! It looked like it was done by a professional. The class responded: She is a professional! They also responded to the new words in the gym. Christian: I thought the words were encouraging. Ayla: I think the words represent our school and what we are like. Rosalyn: I think the words were a good idea, because they let other people know what our school is about. Meredith: I think the words tell how we act and what Jesus did and how we are trying to follow him. New people who visit our school would be encouraged to come to St. Mary's School.

DSC05184How heartwarming to see what these students feel about the new addition to the school. It has already touched them, and is sure to have an impact on thousands more through the years as each new class reads those words (Respect, Faith, Service, Teamwork, Tradition, Christian, Honesty, and Spiritual) every day through their formative years at St. Mary's.
