Advent Prayer Services

In preparation of our Saviors birthday, everyone at St. Mary's school participates in a weekly prayer service. Advent1The Advent Prayer services always focus on the scripture readings and how we can apply them to our lives. This particular service also incorporated the symbolism of each of the four Advent candles both the color and the concepts of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. The 5th and 6th grade classes took their responsibility of planning and presenting the prayer service to heart, and were so reverent in sharing the meaning of Advent and how we can all be a light to someone else, and that if we allow the Light of Christ to enter our hearts we can't help but let it shine through our lives. What a joy it is to be able to come together and worship at school. For more photos click here.
