Matt Delaney will take to the podium May 17th to give the commencement speech at Briar Cliff University's 83rd Commencement ceremony. He will represent the Class of 2014. Matt, a history and secondary education major will talk about the diverse social and spiritual experiences he has had while at Briar Cliff, a Roman Catholic University. What a great representative for BCU (Class of 2014) and St. Mary's (Class of 2006). Matt, has been on the Dean's list all 4 years. He was the Fall 2013 Varsity Football Team Captain, and received the GPAC (Great Plains Athletic Conference) Scholar Athlete 2011-13 and the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) National Scholar Athlete 2012-2013. The GPAC Scholar Athlete is considered Academic All-Conference, while the NAIA Scholar Athlete is considered Academic All-American. In his chosen career field Matt was selected as Briar Cliff University Education Department's Most Outstanding Secondary Education Graduate for 2014. These are just a few of his honors at Briar Cliff while also committing time to Community Service. Matt mentored our future leaders, helped feed the hungry, and build a home for those in need, helped teach football to our youth, and helped children with cancer.
