Many Nebraskans are watching Creighton basketball these days. Well, fourth and fifth graders at St. Mary's were watching and listening to Creighton University medical students for five weeks as they participated in "Fit for Life", a program designed to teach students how to make healthy choices in their lives. At the start of the five week course students were asked to set three goals and record healthy choices on a daily basis which should include exercise, a good night's sleep and a healthy diet. The medical students would come visit once or twice a week, and the students were very enthusiastic at events such as "Field Day," Food Day and the closing ceremonies. This program brought everyone together working as a team with a common goal--be "Fit for Life" and start now! Students will enjoy a day at "Pump it Up" to celebrate being "Fit for Life".
