Forty fleece blankets will soon keep Hillcrest residents warm and toasty. As part of Catholic Schools week Kindergartners through eighth graders met in the school gym on Monday, paired up with their buddies and began tying blankets. Some of the older students taught the younger ones how to tie. Everybody had lots of fun. The Chess Club sponsored the event and the materials were paid for from our Sewing for Senior's grant. Thanks to Suzanne Hasiak who prepared the material and cut the corner segments and Cheryl Shanker who cut the fringes." When all the blankets were tied the classes worked on their cheers for the pep rally! For more photos click here.
