St. Mary’s Alumnae March for Life

Nothing could keep Sarah Ruff and Laura Sjostedt, both from St. Mary's from taking part in the largest prolife event in the world.SarahLauraGirls_from_Mercy Not even the snow, ice or temperatures in the teens. Today, January 22nd, they along with two of their classmates from Mercy High School will march in the 40th March for Life in Washington, D.C. The rally will begin at the National Mall and the March will take them up Constitution Avenue to the Supreme Court Building on Capitol Hill. Mercy didn't sponsor a trip this year so the girls joined the Archdiocese's group of young people making the trek by bus. Each girl also raised the $400 needed for the trip. The busses left at 7PM Saturday and will return Thursday at 3PM. A long, but necessary journey, in their fight for life.
