Skyping Brings Experts Into the Classroom

skypeIf you have a question about corn in Nebraska, why not go straight to the source? Through skype Mrs. Fegan's 4th grade class brought in an expert from the state department of Agriculture to answer their questions. Mrs. Feagan says, "We asked a lot and learned a lot," including the fact that there are 3 main types of corn and Nebraska produces the most popcorn of all the states. A few days later through skype the students learned a lot about cows, including which ones produce milk. Two days after being milked, the milk is at the store. What a great introduction to agriculture and Nebraska history!
