St. Mary's parishioners have always supported the parish school. Matt and Mary Bishop gave a gift even though they are no longer here on Earth. Mrs. Feagan was out shopping at a garage sale and noticed a Mary statue with a "wall." She asked the price and it was so inexpensive, only $10, she knew she had to buy it; someone could surely use it- maybe even out on the school playground tucked away near some flowers or bushes. She began to talk to the family about St. Mary's School and before she knew it-- Matt and Mary Bishop's son Jim, and his wife Becky, graciously donated the statue. The family said, "Grandpa would love the idea that his Mary statue, at home in his yard for 40 years, now has a new home at St. Mary's School garden." It's a blessing from above. Our newest Mary statue sits near the Art room on the Dominican side of the building. Say a little prayer for Matt and Mary Bishop who keep on giving.
