Legos Easter Story

Christian Swiecicki, a first grader was at home Friday. He had the day off from St. Mary's school like most school children around the nation. On that special day, Christian was really contemplating the Easter Story on what we all know as Good Friday. Legos2 He used his favorite medium (Legos) to re-create parts of the story he learned about at school.

* Jesus at the Last Supper

* Jesus carrying the Cross to Golgatha

* Jesus hanging on the Cross (with Mary, John and the Centurian at the foot of the cross)

* Jesus' body is laid on Mary's lap

* Jesus is carried to the tomb

The Legos Easter Story makes the story so much more real, bringing its meaning to life for one little first grader and the rest of us.

Here you see Jesus at the Last Supper. Click here to see the rest of the Easter Story.

St Mary's Information

St. Mary's Catholic School is a Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade School of the Archdiocese of Omaha. Our mission is to provide a Catholic education that nurtures students' hearts and minds to become servant leaders in an ever-changing world.

Our philosophy of education is to offer a five-day program to assist families in teaching those truths, skills, and ideals, which are necessary for Christian living. We believe that education must develop the faculties and abilities of the whole child: spiritually, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. To help achieve this, our faculty and staff are an integral part of the formation of Christian community and dedicate themselves to the task of developing Christian citizens.
