The 100th day of school is a major milestone for students particularly the younger ones. This year the 100th day fell during Catholic Schools' Week. The first graders have been studying snow and all things associated with winter as well as the forms of matter. After we read the book Snowflake Bentley, we decided to make 100 snowflakes to mark the 100th day. We asked our 7th grade buddies to help. The buddies had a great time visiting with each other as they honored the timeless tradition of cutting paper snowflakes. The first grade hallway has been transformed into a winter wonderland and it makes us smile whenever we walk through. The preschool students have been asking how the snowflakes got there because "the teachers aren't tall enough to get them on the ceiling". For more photos click here.
