Spelling Bee Champs!

JuliaBennettGrndpaRevMichael James clinches his 4th Spelling Bee Championship in 4 years! What a feat! Congratulations Michael! Usually the top two winners in the 5th-8th grade competition go on to compete in the Archdiocese Spelling Bee but Michael will be at a basketball tournament in Kansas City. This year, Cate Lillion who took second and Anna Grace Braxton who took 3rd will represent St. Mary's School. Baylin Davis took first place in the 1st-4th grade Spelling Bee competition. Christian Swiecicki took second place and Julia Bennett (seen here with her grandfather) took 3rd. This year's participants by grade in the two levels of Spelling Bee's include:1st: Cole Holbrook and Christian Swiecicki, 2nd: Julia Bennett and Carson Ames, 3rd: Gabby Sjostedt and Vincent Morales, 4th: Baylin Davis and Lauren Schmitz, 5th Grade: Anna Grace Braxton and Jiwoo Kook, 6th grade: Ellie Foral and Cate Lillion, 7th Grade: Joey Walther and Isabel Van Huffel, 8th Grade: Mike James and Maya Lewis.

St. Mary's Catholic School is a Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade School of the Archdiocese of Omaha. Our mission is to provide a Catholic education that nurtures students' hearts and minds to become servant leaders in an ever-changing world.
