The annual "Hot Wheels Extravaganza" provided some exciting and enjoyable science for the 5th grade students as they finished up their study of Motion and Forces. Setting up the tracks in the gym and measuring out the course was a great lesson in cooperation and engineering. As one 5th grader was heard exclaiming "WOW! That last car's distance just changed my whole graph!" Who would've thought that collecting, graphing and analyzing data could be that much fun? More photos in the photo gallery.
