St. Mary's fifth grade class got to experience another milestone in their education just prior to Christmas break: DARE Graduation! Officer Larsen of the Bellevue Police Department spent one hour each week for twelve weeks guiding the students through the DARE decision-making process. The goals of the programs are to empower our children to make wise choices when confronted with difficult or tempting situations. Our DARE class time was a highlight of the week, and the Graduation/reception was a terrific way to share with parents how much we learned. Of course, no graduation is complete without a reception featuring lots of goodies and time to visit with friends and family. More photos are in the photo gallery.
