Sharing a Teddy Bear's Love

GirlCriesRe2Audrey, a first grader makes a sacrifice to help others in need. The 4th graders have been collecting bears for traumatized children. She and her mom discussed what stuffed animal she would bring to donate. When she showed her teacher, the bear she said she did not want to give it away, but her mom said, this was the one. Ms. Gaspers walked Audrey over to the 4th grade, she hugged her bear, told it goodbye and cried. She cried off and on that morning and Ms. Gaspers thought perhaps she should call mom and check on the decision. Just as she was thinking that, Audrey looked up from her work and said, "The good thing about sharing with someone is it makes you feel good inside. I feel much better now." Someone else will now be sharing the love this teddy bear has to give.
