The Humane Society had a need and St. Mary's 4th graders did their part to fill it. As part of their service project the class headed up a drive that involved students, parents and parishioners. The outpouring of donations was tremendous. The Art Explore class cut, braided, and knotted 15 yards of fleece to make a very large bag of dog toys. A parishioner, dropped off two tubs full of donations, didn't leave her name or even get a receipt. With everyone's support 248 items were donated to the Humane Society: from food and toys to blankets and towels. And best of all; one of mans best friends found a loving home in the process. The family wanted to adopt Murphy, the dog you see here but he was just adopted. The family kept looking at the Humane Society and was able to find another furry friend and take him to his new home.
