Taking a Stand for LIfe

Thursday, March 15th, the 8th grade class will participate in the 40 Days for Life Campaign.  This is where people pray and fast for an end to abortion. Our students, along with two of their teachers, Miss Sheridan and Mrs. Sjostedt will take the 8 to 9 am hour in front of the Bellevue Abortion Clinic to pray. In order to prepare for this, Father Courtney, Pastor of St. Anthony Parish in Steinauer, Nebraska spoke with the students. Father is a dynamic speaker and hosts a show geared toward youth called "Live Greater" Thursday nights at 9 pm on KVSS. Here are some reflections from our students after listening to Father Courtney:

Danielle: "Father Courtney really got me excited about my faith and wanting to learn more!"

Missy: "He pounded in our heads the bible verses, Deuteronomy 30:19, Psalm 139, John 10:10 to teach us about life and our duty to protect it.

William: "He was very happy as a priest."

Natalie: "He told us we all are unique, and there could be thousands of more people alive if there was no abortion. Adoption is good!"

Kalvin:" I learned that the biggest abortionist gave over 100,000 abortions before realizing it was wrong.

Arnold: "I like Father Courtney because he makes religion fun.

Thanks, Father Courtney!
