St. Mary's 6th graders said good-bye to Seon-Jin and Ji-Eun, two classmates from Seoul, Korea here for only one quarter. At their farewell party the class exchanged religious gifts with the girls and gave them a St. Mary's 60th anniversary blue ornament. The girls gave each classmate a hand-made bracelet. The class played the old American party standard, Pin the Tail on the Donkey. The girls had never heard of it nor had most of the class! Everything was going fine until the girls received their last report cards and honor certificates for Highest Honors. They started crying. Then, Mrs. Shanker, the 6th Grade teacher, began crying, and then everyone cried and hugged and exchanged e-mail addresses and phone numbers. The entire class is truly going to miss Seon-Jin and Ji-Eun. They are two wonderful young ladies and excellent students.
