St. Mary's Parent's Get Involved
Volunteering Opportunities

There are many ways you can get involved in your child's school! If you have a few minutes or a few hours to spare each week, we can always use your help!  See SignUp Genius for our current opportunities!

There is something for everyone throughout the year:

The Summer Fireworks Stand – This is a great way to get ready for the 4th of July. You can help set up the stand, cashier, restock supplies or help take the stand down.

School Clean Up Days – Help get the school cleaned up and ready for the new school year.

The Fall Fundraiser – This is a big fundraiser for our students who go out and sell cookie dough, food products and more. You can help by taking this to your friends, neighbors and co-workers to help boost up sales. The more we sell, the more we make.

Teacher Appreciation Days - This is a great way to show our teachers how much we appreciate them!  We need volunteers to prepare and serve food, as well as decorate the teacher's lunchroom for this luncheon.

Casino Night - An adult only night of fun, Las Vegas Style!  We have a money wheel, card games, roulette and more!  Volunteers are needed to be dealers at the various games.

Halloween Fun Night - This is a fun and safe event for kids (and adults) to be able to come in costume and celebrate Halloween.  This event has several games that need to be manned by adults or teenagers.  We also have a cake walk at Halloween Fun Night and need someone to run this fun activity!

Jelly Bean Fun Night - This is a fun event held in the spring in the gym. Kids come with a donation to the food pantry, and go around to several games and activities.  When all activities have been completed and checked off, they get to turn their sheet in for a bag of jellybeans! Volunteers are needed to run the games and activities.
and the "Spring for the Children"" Benefit Auction just to name a few. See Spring for the Children Benefit Auction.

If you would like to learn more about these events and other ways for you to volunteer contact Brenda Achterhoff! She will be more than happy to find something that suits you perfectly, utilizing your time and talents! We look forward to working with you this school year.

St Mary's Information

St. Mary's Catholic School is a Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade School of the Archdiocese of Omaha. Our mission is to provide a Catholic education that nurtures students' hearts and minds to become servant leaders in an ever-changing world.

Our philosophy of education is to offer a five-day program to assist families in teaching those truths, skills, and ideals, which are necessary for Christian living. We believe that education must develop the faculties and abilities of the whole child: spiritually, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. To help achieve this, our faculty and staff are an integral part of the formation of Christian community and dedicate themselves to the task of developing Christian citizens.
